Today, Sunday, the Emirate of Sharjah commenced the implementation of Law No. (7) of 2025 concerning the regulation of the judicial authority, issued by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. This law marks a significant milestone in enhancing the judicial system, reinforcing the principles of justice, ensuring judicial independence, and guaranteeing fair litigation for all individuals.
Key Features of the Law:
• Judicial Independence: The law affirms that judges are independent in performing their duties and are subject only to the Constitution and the law, ensuring impartial and fair judgments.

• Establishment of the Court of Cassation: The law establishes the Court of Cassation as an independent and supreme judicial body in the emirate, responsible for adjudicating appeals from appellate courts, unifying judicial principles, and ensuring correct application of the law.
• Formation of the Judicial Council: The Judicial Council is tasked with overseeing judicial affairs, including the appointment, training, and qualification of judges, and supervising judicial performance to ensure efficiency and integrity.
• Judicial Code of Conduct: The law mandates the preparation of a code of conduct for members of the judiciary, promoting standards of honor, integrity, and impartiality in judicial work.
• Annual Report: An annual report is to be prepared and submitted to the Ruler of Sharjah, detailing the achievements and challenges of the judicial authority, thereby enhancing transparency and accountability.
